She!

She is clever but not cunning.
She is logical but not boring.
She is funny but not irritating.
She is young but not immature.
She is smart but not fake.
She is cute but not dumb.
She has dreams of which she is sure!
Life has not given her everything
But she has made the most of what life has given to her.
She is one of her own kind,
With a genius mind.
She is a friend, philosopher, guide,
Sure nobody can take her for a ride :)
Love you loads di!!!

Wish you a many many happy returns of the day!!!!
Keep Smiling always...

Reliance Digital Experience ….

“Reliance Digital Experience” was a joint initiative by Indi-blogger and Reliance Digital. It was us, bloggers to visit the store and experience it. Hence I too visited the store to experience the inexperienced, at R-city mall, phase 2, LBS Marg, Ghatkopar west, Mumbai

I was visiting Reliance Digital store for the first time accompanied by my father. We could easily locate the store as there were huge hoardings directing us to the store and seemed to be welcoming experience (one like a red carpet feelingJ).

My first reaction looking at the store was OMG it’s huge!!! Then I went inside, I could see many of the fellow bloggers. I flashed my indi-invite to the store manager (Mr. Atul Jayaraman) who was too kind to help us guide (insipte of being busy).

Look of the store from outside!

We could see the whole store from outside (spacious and illuminated). I could see a “Live” images constantly surfing on the screen, be it an television screen , laptop screen or a mobile screen….so lively and illuminated!

We continued to move inside the 15000sq mtrs store (no doubt it seemed so huge to me! ) the store is segregated into 4 sections for easy accessibility of any particular product category.

Experience Pillar.

Mr. Atul continued and educated us on the concept of “Experience Pillars”, they are like pillar shaped. where products of particular category are kept for letting everyone experience the real product.

Then we moved to the liveliest and the most happening area of the store, the “Experience Wall” which displays Televisions of all sizes and brands!

Yes the Play station

Then we came to the Gaming section or the Play station … where we can experience video games and motion gaming …I saw kid enjoying a game… (Though I am not at all a gaming person I must admit seeing the kid enjoy the game surely would bring smile on anybody’s faceJ )

We also took a round in the “Home appliances” section.
Home Theatre room!
Last but not the least the Home Theatre room. Yes, a room is especially reserved for this purpose. This along with experience pillars was a unique feature of reliance digital…

All Similes!!!

I liked quite a few things about the Reliance Digital:
  •  Staff service and hospitality
  • 24 x 7 round the clock service they offer being indifferent to brands
  • 15 day lowest price guarantee they offer
  • Neatly segregated sections for particlar product category
  • And yes not to forget the “i-pod shuffle” which they offered as a humbling gesture!!! JJJ

Reliance digital logo "MISSION HAPPINESS”, to a great extent succeeds in its mission!

This was pretty much an experience, for which I would really thank Reliance Digital for providing the amazing experience of shopping and the lowest price guarantee, definitely a great help for novice customers like me who would not know much about the products to choose from (an ocean of different brands in each category to confuse) when required one.

Overall this store gives a different feeling of about experiencing the changes in the digital world around us…………….. J

The Secret Wish List - My take on the Book :)

Preeti Shenoy is one of my favorite writers (though I have not read many authors !! ) for a fact that her writing is beautiful, simple and precise which makes her books interesting. I regularly follow her blog which is an oasis of words and thoughts. I also have read her first book (34 Bubblegum and Candies) of which all are candies :) and the sweetness still lingers in my mind !!!

What is your wish list? Go on, write it down.
You never know how it will change your life!

The story is about Diksha, coming from a traditional middle-class family, finds her life taking a complete 'U' turn when at sixteen a harmless innocent kiss; with a senior from school, her then crush Ankit lands her in trouble. She is withdrawn from the school by her parents and soon is married off to Sandeep at a early age. Eighteen years down the line Diksha is a housewife metamorphosed into a maidservant and a cook lives a mundane life on the whims & fancies of her insensitive & orthodox husband Sandeep, seeks  “permission” to travel anywhere, even to her own years. The only silver lining is her (not theirs!!) nine-year-old-son Abhay bringing him up almost single handedly.

Suddenly life knocks onto her .. events & characters drops into her life like bitten hand grenades waiting to explode. Urged by a twist of events, a wish list is born. She realizes how she has been dancing to everyone’s tunes but has forgotten to listen to the music in her own heart. She is a bundle of contradictions... perhaps a bit of communication could save the situation. She faces bitter sweet serendipitous dilemma, until she decides the direction for her life.

The characters in her novel are well visualised and believable, from Vibha an audacious independent yet conservative cousin, Gaurav a sophisticated Instructor friend, Tanu a bubbly spirited childhod friend, Abhay an innocent matured son, Ankit a soulful crush and Diksha the woman with dreams!!

Preeti Shenoy’s novel perhaps brings up the lives of many women who have, confined within the barriers of their own little existence. She brings out the ode of a married woman who is convinced and settled herself on  domesticity for bliss and that delusion works only to a point till the veil has worn thin. The novel shows an alternative path taken by a brave lady when everything seems to be breaking apart for her. A little of spice and love in her life only serves to make her evolve to be stronger.

The crux of the novel is “Life is short. Follow your heart and chase your dreams And yes, they will come true” which is so true!

Written in an extremely conversational style, Preeti Shoney’s new offering “The Secret Wish List” is fluid in its narration and is an easy read which doesn’t disappoint at all. The book kept me mesmerised & hooked onto it the whole night :)
